In an order on February 19, DOT said that license conditions bar carriage of objectionable, obscene or unauthorized content in any form on the network. The order directed all telecom service providers to take immediate action against their customers for sending such messages as it is also a violation of customer declaration in the customer application form

They also suggested telecom operators to open a helpline or dedicated call center to receive complaints against such messages.

Install magisk using TWRP:

If you are already rooted your device, you can install Magisk installer via TWRP Recovery. You need to download the Magisk zip from and above and flash it via TWRP.

Boot your device into Recovery mode.
In recovery mode, select the Install button.
Find the folder where you download the Magisk zip file.

Install Magisk using Boot Image Patching:

You can use this method if your device does not have proper custom recoveries available or your device is using the A/B partition scheme and you don’t want to mix recovery and boot images. But for using this method you need a stock boot image of your device which can obtain by extracting the factory images or OTA update zips.

Download and move the Stock Boot image to your phone’s internal storage.
Open Magisk Manager and select INSTALL and choose to install again.
Tap on Patch Boot Image File and select your stock boot image file.
Magisk Manager will install Magisk to your boot image, and store it in Internal Storage.
Download and Install ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
Copy the patched_boot.img from the internal storage to your PC inside the adb and fastboot directory.
In the ADB and Fastboot folder, hold the SHIFT key and right-click on an empty space, and select “Open PowerShell window here”.
Now boot your device into Fastboot Mode and connect it to PC.
Type the below command in the command window to install Magisk and root your Android device.
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
Devices with an A/B partition system, use the below commands.
fastboot flash boot_a patched_boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b patched_boot.img
Reboot your device.

How to Verify Root and SafetyNet Status

Once you installed Magisk, you can verify your Root and SafetyNet Status. When you open the Magisk Manager app you will see “MAGISKSU (topjohnwu)” with a green checkmark next to it, which means your device is successfully rooted with Magisk.

The Xposed Framework is one of the best tools for modding or customizing an Android device. Xposed framework brings all customization and features you found on a custom ROM to your Stock ROM. It uses Modules to let you tweak your device or give you total control over the look and feel of your phone. Unfortunately, Xposed Framework was not updated to support Android Pie but there is a way to Download and Install Xposed Framework on Android Pie.

Xposed not update since the release of Android Oreo and many users shifted their attention to the Magisk but still there are many people who are eagerly waiting for the release of the Xposed Framework for Android Pie. Currently, Xposed is not officially available for Android Pie However third-party developers successfully port Xposed to Android Pie device rooted with Magisk.

To Install Xposed Framework on Android Pie you need a Magisk Module called EdXposed and Riru Core Magisk Module. The developer already tested the process with Magisk 18.0 on a Google Pixel 3 XL and OnePlus 6 and it should be working with a lower version of Magisk and any other device running on Android Pie. Follow below steps to Download and Install Xposed Framework on Android Pie.

Note:

Your device should be running on Android Pie.
The device must be Rooted with Magisk.

Restrict Purchases for Apps and Games

Applying filter is one thing but there are apps on the Play Store with in-app purchases and when children surf the app or game they accidentally or intentionally click on the buy button. This can be controlled by changing the authentication for purchases option. Once enabled kids will have to enter a password every time they need to purchase something.

Open the Google Play Store App.
Tap on the hamburger Menu icon on the top left corner.
Scroll down and open Settings.
Tap on Require authentication for purchases under User controls.
Select the first option For all purchases through Google Play on this device.

How to Turn Off Parental Controls on Android

If you changed your mind or don’t want the parental controls anymore, you can easily disable the option from settings. To Turn Off Parental Controls on Google Play Store, go to Settings and then Tap on Parental controls under User controls. Toggle parental controls to OFF to Disable Parental Controls.

Now, tap on the lock icon next to contacts or click on ‘+’ icon to add the chat you need to lock.

Launch the app.
Create a password of your choice.
Provide a recovery e-mail address, to retrieve your password in case you forget it.
Next, Grant accessibility permissions.
Now, tap on ‘+’ icon to add the chat you need to lock.
You also need to remove the app from battery optimization or lock the app in the background. We will discuss this later on this post.

Disable App Battery Optimization and Lock App in Background

Try these only if the above apps won’t lock your chat. Battery optimization helps conserve battery power on your device and by default, it’s ON for all apps. But some apps need to run on background in order to work correctly. You can easily Disable App Battery Optimization and Lock the App in Background by following below steps.

Disable App Battery Optimization

Open the Settings app and tap Battery
Tap the Options menu button (the three dots in the upper right)
Tap Battery optimization.
Click on the app and tap Don’t optimize.

Lock App in Background

Press the options or Recent Key.
It will Open all your Recent Apps.
Just swipe down on the app you wanted to run in the background.
Or click on three dots on the top right of the app and click Lock.
Now a lock symbol will be displayed on the app.
